I am currently experiencing my second northern hemisphere autumn and I have to say, it really is a spectacle. As much as I loved summer, with its long days and warm nights, I really enjoy the autumn months in Europe so much more. Each and every day I look around me with wonder and amazement at the mesmerizingly beautiful transformation of colours from green to red to orange to yellow. At times the foliage around me makes me grin from ear to ear. And even when I’m riding my bike through icy winds I get a thrill from watching the natural confetti of autumn leaf rain that falls around me. It’s a truly magical time of the year, where cosiness is the name of the game and everyone bundles up in scarves and beanies. It’s not yet too cold or too dark and there is a sense of making the most of every last drop of sunshine.
So on this gratitude Wednesday I am dedicating this post to the beauty of nature because autumn really is her time to shine!
