People often ask me what area of psychology I specialise in. In South Africa we get a general training and are not required to specialise. Any specialisation is really just a personal affinity to one or more subjects and a desire to further one’s learning in that field. Attachment Theory always stood out for me during my training as it is well-researched and there is conclusive evidence to back it up. Hello everyone. Here is my first vlog (video blog, mum). I am super nervous about publishing this because it is in no way perfect. As an attempt to shirk perfectionism and self doubt I am going ahead and doing it anyway.

It’s been a while since my last post and there are some good reasons for that. Firstly, I took a long holiday and really tried to stay away from any tasks that usually occupy my time during the year. It’s been exceptionally useful for me to try and stop and to not do, especially because there are so many things I’m excited about getting stuck into this year.
