My dream therapy room: A non-corporate aesthetic goes all-the-way plush

In All, My Dream Therapy Room

So last week I showed you some of my pins from my pinterest board “All black everything” which showcased what one could do with a therapy room if you used only black.

It was suggested that perhaps black is too formal and too corporate. So what would be the antidote to that kind of aesthetic? Well I would say something that is more homely, more inviting and ultimately more plush. I like the idea of sinking into an over sized velvet sofa or walking across a textured rug.

The following pins from my board Plush are a collection of images that denote comfort and abundance, the colours are warm and the textures are nurturing and supportive. In my dream therapy room there are lots of warm, bold colours, plush carpets, lots of texture from knits and wood, and a big comfy velvet couch. What do you think?

  • […] Today’s board is titled “70s Inspired” because I am for some reason particularly attracted to the clean lines and muted tones of 70s inspired furniture at the moment. Perhaps it is the season. It’s autumn here and so the world around me is covered in burnt orange fallen leaves and mossy green trees. Or maybe I just feel like a change from last week’s Plush interiors. […]
